The feminine urge to slow down is a biological need - not laziness or lack of ambition.

Femininity Part 5: The feminine urge to slow down is a biological need - not laziness or lack of ambition.

So, if you’re feeling that burning desire to slow down, run away from the office and start feeding chickens and baking bread all day… not only is that totally okay, it’s NORMAL.

If you haven’t heard my story, I was the ultimate wanna be girl boss hustler 😂 I can’t even say this with a straight face now because I realize how FAR away that is from my design and true desires of my heart.

I went to school for business, got my degree, and immediately went into the corporate world where I realized in literally about a month that it wasn’t for me. But I didn’t know what to do. And I felt extremely guilty for wanting to do something else after getting a good job and getting that degree.

I stayed in the corporate world for 2 years and 3 months, and it felt like an actual eternity.

Now, I completely understand that not everyone can quit their job tomorrow, sell their house, and move to a homestead.

I’m not even saying that’s what you have to want to do, or that you should do. I’m just saying that if you want to do it, it’s normal and it makes sense.

There are plenty of ways to slowly make this transition over time. I don’t know how it looks for you, but I truly believe there is a way for every woman who wants to, to start living closer to her design.

And if this post is not for you, that is totally fine. If you are thriving and loving the girl boss hustle, you do you (if you are on birth control or running on stress hormones though, it will interfere with your physiology and may be causing you to make decisions you otherwise wouldn’t!)
